Over 1.7 million engines were delivered. Aircraft conversions produce 100-120HP. The engine has been flying since 1960 and has evolved to a very smooth, reliable and robust power plant. All parts needed for a conversion are still manufactured and readily available. Complete test run engines can be purchased, but most builders choosing the Corvair are DIY builders working to assemble their own engine from parts with support from FlyCorvair/William Wynne’s manuals, dvd’s, websites and Colleges. Tue, 13 Mar 2012Ferrari will show the replacement for the Enzo supercar to a select group of current and potential customers at the end of 2012, Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said. “We want to surprise people not just in terms of price but also with the car itself,” Montezemolo told Automotive News Europe on the sidelines of the Geneva motor show last week. Ferrari has not decided when the new limited-edition model will make its public debut.

Porsche to take majority stake in VW for £7bn

The sportscar maker has been given the green light to purchase further stock in VW, taking its share past the 50 percent mark to give it a controlling interest. As soon as various legal checks have been cleared, Porsche plans to purchase a further 20 percent of VW stock – it already owns 31 percent - at an estimated cost of around £7 billion.
