Alfa Romeo 8C GTA & Alfa MiTo GTA Spied
Sun, 16 May 2010The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA & Alfa Romeo 8C GTA Spied Through the early part of last year we were convinced Alfa Romeo were going to launch a halo version of that cracking little car the MiTo, and bring the GTA badge out of the history box at the same time to create the Alfa MiTo GTA. Blimey, we not only managed to report details of the MiTo GTA but even had a video from Alfa of the MiTo GTA concept running around. But that all seemed to go out of the window when reports started flying round the car world last July that the Alfa MiTo GTA was dead and the hottest we’d get was the Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio, although on both occasions we expressed the belief – probably more in hope than expectation – that Alfa would give us the MiTo GTA.
New 2012 Mercedes SL costs from £72,495
Wed, 23 May 2012New Mercedes SL 350 costs £72k The new Mercedes SL arrives in the UK next month (June) and will cost from £72,495 for the SL 350. Mercedes revealed the all new SL roadster – the first new Mercedes SL in a decade – just before Christmas, but it’s taken almost six months more to find out what it’s going to cost in the UK. With the first SLs arriving on our shores in June, Mercedes couldn’t really have left it much later to let customers know that the entry-level point for the new SL goodness is going to be £72,495 for the BlueDIRECT 3.5 litre V6 SL 350, rising to £83,445 for the 4.7 litre BlueDIRECT V8 SL 500.
Beating the motoring bullies
Fri, 07 Mar 2014A NEW INITIATIVE has been launched to help women protect themselves from aggressive drivers and potential dangers if their car breaks down. The Women in Gear scheme includes an evening workshop course to teach basic maintenance and useful get-you-home tips. These are aimed at helping women sort out minor problems with their car rather than having to wait at the roadside for help.
