Land Rover Defender Black Pack and Silver Pack options revealed

The Land Rover Defender (pictured) gets new options Whilst Land Rover are busy deciding exactly what the next generation Land Rover Defender will offer when it arrives – probably in 2016 now – they’re not forgetting the current Defender. Heading for s debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month are two new option packs for the Defender – Black Pack and Silver Pack – as well as new extras and options on other Defenders in the range. The new Defender Black Pack comes with a Santorini black paint job for the roof, grille, wheelarches and headlamp surrounds, ‘Defender’ script on the bonnet, Privacy glass, Alston headlining and a choice of gloss black Sawtooth alloys or gloss black heavy duty wheels.

Peugeot 301 The new Peugeot 301 saloon is revealed ahead of a Paris 2012 debut, launching Peugeot’s new numbering for its models. It’s not a car we’ll be getting in the UK and Europe, but the new Peugeot 301 is important nonetheless as Peugeot expect it to be one of their biggest sellers. Coming in at 4440mm long – which is a bit bigger than a 308 but smaller than a 508 – the Peuegot 301 is a saloon car that’s being built in Spain and aimed at the car markets in Turkey, Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Middle East and Africa.

Z4 M fans look away now – this is an officially sanctioned BMW Z-car with the 4.0-litre V8 engine from an M3. This is the BMW Z4 GT3. It isn’t, at least not for the road – the Bavarian company maintains that its sDrive 35iS Z4 with a 335bhp twin-turbo straight is as far as it’ll go.
