You are bidding on one pair of side lights cowl lamps lanterns, "Queen" lamps mfd. by Dietz in New York.  These are steel lamps from the "black & brass era circa 1913. These lights, I believe, were used on Mercer automobiles and perhaps a few others, so at the time these were pretty high-end lanterns.  There is one pair, one light is actually quite nice with just a coating of surface rust. The other has issues - the exterior shell and the reflector will both need to be straightened and new glass will have to be made.  If you know these lights you know how hard to find they are. Items shown in pictures are what you will receive.

New Renault Clio arrives

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

The new Renault Clio has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show with a new look and five doors. Although it’s still based on the underpinnings of the current Clio, the new Renault Clio is a lot more than a facelift of the current car. For a start, it comes as a five door only, with the back door handles hidden so it looks like a three door, and gets a bold new style that’s been influenced by the Renault DeZir Concept with a new corporate nose featuring a big front grill and Renault badge and big, swoopy crease lines down the doors.

Bertone B99 Jaguar NOT for Jaguar. Perhaps Lamborghini will be interested?

Mon, 07 Mar 2011

The Bertone B99 Jaguar Concept - not for us, say Jaguar We thought we were in a minority of one when we proclaimed the Bertone B99 – Bertone’s take on a new Small Jaguar – to be the wrong direction for Jaguar. We couldn’t conceive why a struggling Italian design firm like Bertone would take a punt on designing a new Jaguar, so we assumed that Jaguar must have quietly commissioned it. Otherwise Bertone would have to be a bit barking to try and usurp Jaguar’s design team; a design team with as sure a touch as any in the industry.
