Peugeot 408 GT teased ahead of Beijing 2014 debut

Peugeot will show a new concept car at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show this April, hinting at a small four-door coupe that could rival the Mercedes-Benz CLA. The prototype will most likely be based on the French firm’s current 308 hatchback – underpinned by PSA Peugeot Citroen’s latest EMP2 platform – and will continue to evolve the brand’s new design direction. There were more exciting show stands at Geneva but Chevy did muster up a small – in every sense – global unveil in the shape of the three-door Aveo supermini (the five-door was unveiled last autumn at the 2007 Frankfurt show). The smart-ish new exterior – all big grille and wraparound front lights – is a big improvement on the mundane Kalos it replaces but still a bit of a let down.

'Need for Speed' Mustang to be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson

With the release date of “Need for Speed” looming on March 14, Ford said on Friday that the film's star, a customized 2014 Mustang GT, will roll across the auction block April 12 at Barrett-Jackson in West Palm Beach, Fla. The silver screen celebrity is not your average GT. It was massaged by the folks at Ford and given a bag full of goodies.
