Dry fit (test fit) replacement mirror in opening to check proper fit. 3. Carefully clean broken mirror surface with a urethane-safe glass cleaner. 4. Apply Burco Redi Stick™ adhesive patches to the back of the replacement mirror and place over the existing broken mirror. 5. Clean the installed Redi Cuts® mirror with a urethane-safe glass cleaner. ***PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CURRENT MIRROR SIZE BEFORE PURCHASING AS SAME MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR MAY HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT MIRROR STYLES. After Ferdinand Porsche appropriated the basic design for the original Beetle from Tatra designer Hans Ledwinka (but before Tatra successfully sued Volkswagen), Volkswagen turned one innovative rear-engined vehicle platform into quite a lineup of cars and trucks. These days, while some types of air-cooled VW projects are cheap and plentiful, the rarer ones are much-sought-after and tough to find in semi-restorable condition.
