2010 Lexus RX 350 gets $37,625 sticker
Fri, 06 Feb 2009The redesigned 2010 Lexus RX 350 gets a sticker price of $37,625 for the front-drive model, and $39,025 for the all-wheel-drive model. The new RX goes on sale later this month. Lexus engineers have coaxed an additional 5 hp from the 3.5-liter V6, bringing the output to 275 hp.
Elio three-wheel prototype revealed
Wed, 08 May 2013Elio Motors unveiled a prototype of its two-passenger, three-wheeled vehicle Wednesday, confirming the all-new vehicle will have a $6,800 base price when it goes on sale in June 2014. Paul Elio, company founder and CEO, said the vehicle is targeted at first-time or cash-strapped buyers, as well as for families who already have a family car and are seeking something inexpensive for daily commuting. Its sub $7,000-base price makes it almost half the price of the cheapest car in the U.S.
Concept Car of the Week: Nissan NX-21 (1983)
Fri, 01 Aug 2014In the early 1980s, with the new millennium still seemingly an age away, Nissan Design America was tasked with imagining the family car of the future, while giving potential buyers a preview of the forthcoming N13 NX and EXA models. The resulting concept would be shown at the Tokyo motor show in 1983. Given confidence by the increasing success and expanding global presence of Japanese cars, including the previous generation N12 NX, Nissan's designers, led by Tom Semple, decided that the NX-21 (for 21st century) was the answer.
