THIS IS A NEW ORIGINAL  CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL (CHP) INSPECTION STICKER, WHICH WOULD BE PROPERLY PLACED ON THE RIGHT LOWER WINDSHIELD (OUTSIDE), WHEN YOUR VEHICLE PASSED A CHP ROADSIDE INSPECTION.  THIS STICKER WAS VALID UNTIL 12-75 (DEC. 1975) AND WOULD BE A NICE TOUCH TO A PRE-1976 VEHICLE.  THE ADHESIVE IS ON THE BACK OF THE STICKER WHICH IS AFFIXED TO ITS ORIGINAL BACKING.  THE STICKER MEASURES 2" X 2".

We had lots about the new Mercedes A Class in the run up to Geneva, but now we’ve had the chance to see it in Switzerland we’re even more convinced it could have the measure of the latest BMW 1 Series. The current A Class was very much a car bought by middle-aged, middle-class Mercedes owners for ‘er indoors.

GM finally enters Chapter 11 Bankruptcy The US Government is to provide £30 billion to fund the transition, with GM being split in to ‘Old GM’ and ‘New GM’. In exchange for the money the US Government will take a 60% stake in ‘New GM’ with all the toxic assets and liabilities being disposed of through ‘Old GM’. The restructuring will allow GM to survive on a third less sales than before (10 million instead of 15 million).

Fernando Alonso drives the Ferrari 458 Spider As the Ferrari 458 Spider gets closer to its official debut at Frankfurt this week, Ferrari are busy dropping bits of PR stuff to keep up interest. Today’s helping is Ferrari F1 driver Fernando Alonso having a play in Ferrari’s new convertible. This is the first time we’ve seen Ferrari’s new drop-top on the move, and it looks every bit as good as it coupe sibling.
