73-81 Camaro, Trans Am, and Firebird Mr. Gasket Console Shifter. This is SHIFTER ONLY, console NOT INCLUDED

This is a Mr. Gasket V Matic  Console Shifter for a 73 -81 Camaro and Firebird.  It was made in the early to mid 80's. It is for a 350/400 trans.  Uses the stock shifter cable, and the cable installs in this shifter like it would in a stock shifter. Fits in a stock automatic console for 73-81 Camaros and Firebirds

This shifter shifts fine.  I polished it for an hour or so with NevrDull, and it came out pretty nice,  There is some very minor pitting and rust on the chrome plate, but it would probably polish out with a little more work. There is no shift indicator arrow, there is a light that moves underneath the shift indicator and lights up what gear you are in. Its green, and it does work.

It comes with what you see in the pic.   You will also need the clip and cotter pin that holds the cable on the shifter, but these are the same as on a stock shifter.

This is a nice shifter, I have a B&M, and if I had a 4 speed plate for it(my Camaro has a 700R4), I would keep it for myself.  However, it is NOT a true ratchet shifter.  If you have it in first gear and bump it, it will bump all the way up to neutral, it won't go past it because of the reverse lockout.  But it is NOT a shifter you can bang through gears with, as if you hit it hard enough, it will go from first to nuetral.

Ebay has been erasing pics I've put up in my auctions.  If there are no pics, message me and let me know, I will put them up again

Toyota Prius T Spirit Review & Road Test (2010) Part 3

Sun, 12 Dec 2010

The Toyota Prius acquitted itself well in the snow - once we'd dug it out. It seems to us that the Prius is a mode of transport, not a car in the sense we enjoy a car. It’s not about feeding sensations back to the driver or a beautifully balanced chassis or an interior to die for or a design that makes little butterflies flutter in the pit of your stomach.

Retrospective: The Detroit auto show 2002, 1997 and 1987

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

While the North American International Auto Show is over for the media, it's just heating up for the public, and we want to keep the ball rolling with a special look back at Detroit auto shows past. Where better than through articles from Autoweek's coverage of the show through the years? They will be available to download in both .pdf and .jpg formats in their entirety, including the cover.

Toyota Prius MPV teased

Mon, 11 Oct 2010

The Toyota Prius MPV Facebook Tease We reported back in May that Toyota were finally going to produce a Toyota Prius MPV – probably with an extra row of seats – in 2011. Which looks to be on the money if the photo above, which has turned up on the Toyota Prius Facebook page today, is anything to go by. The photo seems to make it clear that even though Toyota are using the tag line “The Prius family is getting a whole lot bigger” we should sensibly conclude that the biggest bit of bigger is that there will be an MPV and a plug-in.
