Casting Date: D 4 7 (AprilĂ‚ 4, 1967)

Engine Code: V0406MS

Engine Suffix: MS (1967 Camaro 350/295HP, 3 Speed, 4 Speed, Excluding A.I.R.)

Correct for 1967 Camaro SS with 350ci/295HP, Manual Trans, Excluding A.I.R.

  • Please look at all of the pictures below all of this writing, there are more than 30 pics. So keep on scrolling down!
  • This casting number was the first 350ci/5.7L ever released by Chevrolet, intoduced in the 1967 Camaros only.
  • This is a large journal block, the mains are 2.45".
  • It was taken to our local machine shop where it was inspected and magnafluxed, it checked out good with no cracks.
  • The cylinder bores are all standard size, never been bored.
  • There is some light surface rust on the cylinder walls (pics), but there is no deep pitting.
  • There is a ridge at the top of the cylinders.
  • There is also some light surface rust in the lifter galley (pics) along with some light surface rust on the mating sufaces (pics).
  • The mounting holes and threads are all in good condition with no damage or repairs.
  • This casting number was mostly used for 327ci engines. According to my books and the suffix code, this block was only used in the 1967 Camaro SS, not even Corvettes had this casting number in a 350ci.
  • This block will definately need a trip to the machine shop for machine work.
  • This will be shipped through a freight company, there is a $75 fee if a forklift is needed to unload.

Nissan Patrol breaks obscure Guinness World Record

The Nissan Patrol, a cooler-looking version of the Infiniti QX80 with a Nissan front end, broke a Guinness World Record on Thursday at Sharjah International Airport in the UAE. The nearly 3-ton truck pulled a 170.9-ton cargo plane for more than 164 feet (50 meters), breaking the previous record for “Heaviest aircraft pulled by any production vehicle” by 15 tons. The previous record was attributed to the Volkswagen Touareg that pulled a Boeing 747 at 155 tons.
