A new blimp comes around only once in a while, and Goodyear slowly replacing its fleet is cause for fanfare. These new airships, as yet unnamed, will fly farther, go faster and carry more people than ever before -- and none of it would be possible without help from the Germans. This newest airship is a collaboration between Goodyear and ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik -- yes, of that Zeppelin fame -- and the partnership has historical precedent.

Galleria Ferrari opened the ‘Non solo Rosse' exhibition in Maranello last weekend, devoted to the fascinating subject of color in Ferrari's history and output. The show, which will remain open until April 30th 2010, tells the story of the evolution of the colors that have become signatures of both the Prancing Horse's road and competition models, using some very special cars, the works of painter Enzo Naso and in-depth information.
The very first Ferrari built in 1947, the 125 S, and the F2008 begin visitors' journey into the world of Ferrari Red. Their route takes them from the very first Rosso Granata of the 1950s, the official color of all Italian racing cars since the early 20th century, to the newest metallic variation sported by the F2007, via the various other shades of red - Rosso Cherry, Cina, Cordoba, Dino and Rubino - that have made Ferrari a international icon.

The McLaren P1 production car pictured hot weather testing
We’ve had a surprising amount of McLaren P1 news in the last couple of weeks, with a claimed lap time at the Nurburgring that didn’t quite meet expectation, P1 customer Jay Leno getting to grips with the P1 at the Top Gear track and the news that the P1 is all but sold out. Now, with the first P1s getting close to delivery (McLaren are about to start building customer cars at the rate of one a day), McLaren has released photos and video from their final stint of hot weather testing in the US, with a completely undisguised, production version P1. McLaren have been in the west of the US, where temperatures reach 52 degrees, putting the P1 through its paces in extreme heat in California, Nevada and Arizona, both on the road and at the Willow Springs International Raceway in California, just to be sure it doesn’t melt in the sun.
