EBay exotic: 1971 Maserati Indy
Fri, 29 Apr 2011In honor of the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500, we bring you this lovely red 1971 Maserati Indy. Styled by Vignale, the Indy served as Maserati’s four-passenger business express from 1969 to 1971, powered originally by a 4.2-liter V8 and later by 4.7- and 4.9-liter versions of the Ghibli powerplant. This Oregon-based Euro-market example has a five-speed manual gearbox and power steering, and the owner of 20 years claims to have had a lot of expensive-sounding work done over the past few years.
Top Gear Video: The Stig, Chris Evans & a 400bhp Black Cab
Fri, 23 Sep 2011The Stig takes Chris Evans for an ExCel tour in a 400bhp Black Cab It’s not difficult to work out when Top Gear has something to promote; they send us videos and stories. And with the Top Gear Live Show looming on the horizon, TG has just sent us video of The Stig taking Chris Evans for a blat in a 400bhp Black Cab. Just to make sure everyone knows that Top Gear Live has moved out to the ExCel Centre in East London, the hair-raising ride in the back of Stiggie’s cab was filmed in – and around – an underground car park at the Excel Centre.
One-off 1990 Corvette ZR-1 Spyder saved from sinkhole; video shows extraction
Tue, 01 Apr 2014You'll have to excuse the National Corvette Museum's timing -- museum staff are excited to report that a one-off 1990 Corvette ZR-1 Spyder has just been pulled from the sinkhole that opened up beneath the show floor in February, and they want you to know that this isn't some sort of cruel April 1 hoax. Don't believe us? Just watch the video below There hasn't been much headline-making news out of the Corvette museum since the 1 millionth Corvette built was saved from the sarlacc pit in early March, bringing the number of cars returned to ground level to five.
