Hyundai developing new test centre at Nurburgring

Hyundai has revealed they are building a new test centre at the Nurburgring to help develop driving dynamics for their European cars. We already know that Hyundai are going to make 2012 a brand building exercise, with much effort going in to raising the experience and profile of the Hyundai of today. Part of that is entering WRC rallying with the i20 for the sprinkle of performance dust it will cover Hyundai’s product range with and, hopefully, point towards a serious intent to develop more extreme versions of their performance models.

The 2013 Buick Enclave SUV will sticker for $39,270 including $825 for destination and handling. For the new year, the Enclave gets a gentle styling redesign, more standard equipment and more safety technologies. The 2013 Enclave will have three equipment groups: “convenience,” “leather” and “premium.” All three will come with a good selection of Buick standard features, including a touch-screen radio, HID headlights, parking sensors, backup camera, remote start and a few other features.

Porsche plans four-door Panamera convertible

A series of European and U.S. patent applications obtained by AutoWeek show that Porsche remains committed to building a four-door convertible version of its flagship Panamera, despite recent comments from Zuffenhausen insiders indicating the car had been canceled. The new car, depicted in official drawings that accompany the latest Porsche patent applications filed in February, eschews the two-door route taken by all of its upmarket rivals for a four-door body.
