Ex-Morgan Chief Designer forms Matthew Humphries Design
Thu, 20 Sep 2012The former chief designer at Morgan, has formed his own design consultancy, Matthew Humphries Design, in a bid to branch out into the worlds of bespoke cars and product design. Humphries will continue his relationship with Morgan in a partnership that will see the newly formed company help to develop future models for the independent British sports car manufacturer. The 28-year-old Coventry University graduate believes he can begin moving into the growing market for integrating automotive design elements into product design – such as furniture – and particularly British-themed products.
Motortrend examines making of Kia’s Track’ster concept

The study, complete with a detailed photo timeline, tracks the progress of the concept vehicle from the original idea right the way through to the car's unveiling at the Chicago Auto Show. The Track'ster was originally pitched as a turbo four-cylinder all-wheel-drive sports car and is based on the production version of the Kia Soul, which was the company's second-best-selling vehicle of 2011.

Sun, 11 Jul 2010The British GP 2010 on the new Silverstone track It was probably the best weekend weather-wise at Silverstone for an F1 Grand Prix in some considerable time. But the sun didn’t shine on McLaren in qualifying and they ended up 4th and 14th on the grid. But the big story was Webbers’s anger at losing his new nose to team mate Vettel in a bit of rather daft team favouritism.
