The biannual Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, or the Frankfurt motor show, is again due to take place this September, swapping places with its sister show in Paris. One of the world's largest motor shows – certainly physically – the IAA is held at Frankfurt's Messe complex, and in recent years has been themed, with the last event in 2009 carrying the theme of ‘electrification', with virtually every manufacturer revealing a vehicle using the latest battery technology. Fittingly, the most notable unveil at that show was the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept, which was easily the most innovative and original car of 2009.
A new version of the Honda NSX Concept (Acura NSX) has been revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, this time with an interior. But last year, at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, Honda turned up with the first concept of the new NSX, complete with a confession that this NSX wasn’t a done deal for production, but a work in progress. That work in progress is now back at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show and comes with a few tweaks to the styling but, more importantly, the first idea of how the interior will look when the new NSX does arrive in a couple of years (probably).
FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE cars are soaring on the used car market, according to car auction house British Car Auctions (BCA). Off-roader values rose by up to 16% in October as the first signs of winter emerged. With some medium-term weather forecasts highlighting a colder-than-average winter, BCA is predicting that 4x4 prices may keep rising.
