Kayaks and canoes with a V-shaped cradle will work with this kayak cart although they may require extra attention to prevent side-to-side rocking. Includes a flip-down stand to help keep the dolly cart propped up onshore for quick loading out of the water. Features (2) large 9-1/2" diameter pneumatic tires for stable support on uneven terrain, especially useful in sandy areas. When not in use, the kayak cart folds compact to 28"W x 20"H for storage, or it can be used as a handy beach chair to rest and relax in.Since many canoes and kayaks have different shapes and configurations, best judgment is required for using the tie-down strap properly. It's ideal to have the strap looping through a top-side bungee system or carrying handle to ensure the kayak or canoe does not shift during transport. Thu, 19 Dec 2013The Renault Zoe Scalextric cars turn on to the Embankment Even those who have never driven an electric car probably have if we count childhood exploits with Scalextric; hand-grip controllers clenched in hand seeing how fast you can go before your car tips off in a bend. So Renault decided it would be a good idea to create a full-size Scalextric track in central London, modify a pair of Renault Zoe EVs to slot in to the newly fabricated track and blat the cars round the 1.9 mile track in London controlled by competition winners from a helicopter hovering overhead. The race sees the two Zoes go head-to-head on the Scalextric track, starting out on the South Bank by the London Eye, over Westminster Bridge, past the Houses of Parliament, down the Embankment, up The Strand, over Waterloo Bridge, round the IMAX and finishing alongside the Thames at the finish line.

Thu, 31 Oct 2013The new SEAT Leon Ecomotive (pictured) is the most frugal Leon ever The new SEAT Leon Ecomotive – which debuted at Frankfurt last month – has now gone on sale in the UK and boasts of being the most efficient Leon ever. Available in 3-door SC, five-door and Touring versions, the Leon Ecomotive manages to improve economy and emissions over the already frugal regular 1.6 litre TDI by cutting emissions to 87g/km, equal to 85.6mpg. Part of the improved economy and emissions is down to weight saving – SEAT are claiming the new Leon Ecomotive weighs 90kg less – low resistance tyres and improvements in aerodynamics of ten per cent.
