By Tim Pollard Motoring Issues 15 February 2008 08:01 CAR Online reader Tim Hiscocks so enjoyed our recent Italian supercar adventure to Monaco (CAR Magazine, January 2008), he drew up a cartoon of the road trip featuring the Alfa Romeo 8C, Ferrari 430 Scuderia and Maserati Granturismo. Volkswagen Beetle

The 2012 Beetle has been unveiled ahead of its Shanghai Motor Show reveal. The new 'New Beetle' is said to draw on design cues from the original Beetle launched 73 years ago. Retaining a similar silhouette to the 2003 New Beetle, the 2012 model gains a stronger influence from the 2005 Detroit show 'Ragster' concept.

Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (2011) first official pictures

This is the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, the 2011 version of the famed German sports car company’s range-topping GT racer. The 911 GT3 RSR’s 4.0-litre flat-six engine now produces 449bhp (five whole horses more than the 2010 version) thanks to ECU tweaks, a redesigned exhaust system and a modified air intake housing. Maximum engine revs are a stratospheric 9400rpm, of course it’s rear-wheel drive, and the gearbox is a six-speed sequential unit.
