Infiniti Q50 (2013) teaser video of new sports saloon

The first car to emerge under Infiniti's new naming structure will be the Q50, due at the Detroit motor show in January 2013. The Q50 will replace the rare-groove G37 saloon, and attempt to propel Nissan's luxury arm into the hotly contested small exec saloon battleground. Bugatti reveals footage of record-setting open-top run

In case there was any doubt, Bugatti posted footage on Monday of its $2.6 million Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse hitting a record-setting 254.04 mph at Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessien test track. Chinese racing driver Anthony Liu was behind the wheel. If you'll remember, when Bugatti had its hardtop top-speed record pulled, it quickly set this test in motion to quiet any detractors.

It also revealed the 550bhp CTS-V and the Provoq small SUV concept (see separate story). Although branded as a concept, the striking, angular two-door four-seat CTS Coupe will come to Europe in 2010 and will come here because it is based on the CTS saloon platform which will be offered in right-hand drive in the UK and other overseas markets.
