Car Caché In-Car Purse Storage, Tan, NEW ($19.95 value!)

An in-car purse storage accessory that keeps your handbag clean, out of the way, and within easy reach. The Car Caché requires that the vehicle has a front center console with a cover, and the driver and passenger side headrests must have accessible posts. Also, the driver side seat cannot be all the way up while the passenger side seat is extended all the way back. This will make the Car Caché vertical and cannot hold the purse properly. Retails for: $19.95 http://www.getcarcache.com

Your handbag is by far one of the most personal and important accessories you own. Like many women, you may have spent a small fortune on your bag and, as most will confess, your “entire life is in your purse.”

With such an important place in your life, your handbag needs to be available to you at all times, even while driving. On average, Americans spend more than an hour a day in their cars, with many using their vehicles “as a rolling, multipurpose command center: part kitchen table, part home office and part family entertainment space. While more vehicles are brimming with sophisticated bells and whistles like voice controls and self-parking technology, critics say it is still tough to find basic, built-in storage for personal essentials like purses.” (Wall Street Journal; 12/31/2012; The Struggle to De-Clutter the Family Car). With the Car Caché, there is no guesswork in where your handbag is while in your car, SUV, or minivan, or how to access its vital contents at any moment.

With the Car Caché, you can:
- Install quickly with no assistance because of its simple design
- Keep ‘shoe born’ bacteria on car floor mats away from your handbag’s outer surface
- Protect your handbag from scuffs, dents, and the feet of passengers…including kids’ soccer cleats!
- Adjust it to fit almost any size handbag, from satchels, hobos, totes, messengers, and more
- Prevent your purse contents from spilling onto the dirty floor of your carReduce the distraction of not having your purse within easy reach
- Avoid inconveniencing your car passengers with your purse on the seat or floor
- Help your handbag retain its beauty and shape longer
- Mitigate painful stretching, especially for women with medical conditions
- Easily portable to take it with you on vacation, business trips, or in rental cars!
- Ultimately, the Car Caché provides the driver and their passengers a Stress Free Drive!

New Audi A8 2010/2011 teased

Wed, 22 Jul 2009

The 'adjusted' A8 2010 / 2011 tease from Audi I think ‘Teased’ is probably over-egging the reality. What we actually have is what looks like a grey-haired German accountant standing next to a car under a sheet. But this is in fact Michael Dick – Audi’s Board Member for Technical Development – standing next to the new Audi A8.

Where did the word 'automobile' come from?

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

On Jan. 3, 1899, the New York Times printed the word "automobile" upon its austere pages. It wasn't the first publication to do so; Scientific American used the phrase "automobile carriage" in a May 14, 1898, review of the Winton Motor Carriage, but the Grey Lady -- a more influential publication -- was the first to debate the term.
