British Motor Show 2006 Highlights
Wed, 19 Jul 2006Opel/Vauxhall Corsa The new Opel/Vauxhall Corsa is the most significant new design to be launched yesterday at the press day of the newly reintroduced British Motor Show. The Vauxhall brand is used in the UK, while the Opel brand is used in the rest of Europe The three and the five door versions have similar DLOs to the Astra three and five door versions to give them distinctly different identities to each other, with A-pillars pushed far forward to move the Corsa into a more mono-volume architecture. Influences from the very successful Peugeot 206 are perhaps evident in the lamp graphics and overall 'sporty' image, but the biggest impression is how large this small car is - it's 3999mm long, 1707mm wide and 1488 tall - 150mm longer, and 50mm wider and taller than its predecessor.
Infiniti Essence unveiled at the Geneva motor show 2009
Tue, 03 Mar 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 03 March 2009 11:38 This is the Infiniti Essence, a petrol-electric rear-wheel-drive coupe with 592bhp. It’s a concept, built to celebrate Infiniti’s 20th anniversary, but also to preview the company’s future design themes and environmentally friendly technologies, both of which will be essential if the badge is to conquer the UK market later this year. It’s not, but the petrol-electric drivetrain is a glimpse of Infiniti’s future power units.
Locke review: a road movie with a difference
Fri, 18 Apr 2014Locke is a road movie with a difference – not to mention an enormous contrast to Need for Speed, which is the last heavy car content film I reviewed on MSN Cars. Simply put, Locke stars Tom Hardy and a BMW X5, and that’s about it. To say very much more than this would actually be to give away the, ahem, driving force of the plot – if you can even call it that.
