Lincoln gets own design studio
Tue, 16 Aug 2011Ford is creating a dedicated design studio for its luxury brand Lincoln in an ongoing bid to rejuvenate the brand and position it further apart from the core Ford offering. The new design studio will be situated in the Product Development Center in Dearborn, Michigan, with Max Wolff – recruited from Cadillac last year – charged with leading the brand in its revival efforts. Ford has also announced that it will be increasing spending on the brand, giving it unique interiors and powertrains.
GMC adds Denali trim and a larger V6 to the Terrain for 2013
Wed, 14 Mar 2012The GMC Terrain crossover gets an upscale Denali trim level and a larger, more powerful V6 engine for the 2013 model year, General Motors said on Wednesday. The 2013 Terrain goes on sale this fall. The new V6 displaces 3.6 liters and is rated at 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque.

In a revelation that will surprise no one, Saab ‘owner’ Victor Muller has revealed that the $74 million paid to GM when Spyker (as they then were) bought Saab was supplied to one of Victor Muller’s companies by Snoras Bank refugee Vladimir Antonov. Muller revealed this little nugget of information in an interview due to be televised in Sweden tomorrow, and also revealed he still owed the money (well, the company he owns still owes the money).
