While all of those clichés were still in evidence at the Chinese auto show, the copycat mentality is much less obvious than even a year ago at last year's Shanghai show. And every western car exec CAR spoke to was in awe of the upward sales trajectory that means China is still the place to do business in 2008.Yes, there are still some odd automotive fish, usually small ‘three-box’ saloon in shape such as the Chinese market only Citroen C-Elysee and the VW Lavida (a Jetta/Bora Plus car with less style).
Ford Marks 30 Years Of Diesel Power

According to the carmaker, today diesel power represents 38.5 per cent of all Ford car sales, making the introduction of its first mainstream diesel car a significant landmark.
2011 Chevrolet Camaro discovers more power--now it has 312 hp
Thu, 08 Apr 2010Chevrolet has found an additional 8 hp for V6 versions of the 2011 Camaro, power that likely has been there all along. The direct-injection 3.6-liter engine with VVT is now rated at 312 hp, up from last year’s 304 hp. Chevy didn’t actually do anything to the engine.
