Hyundai i30 (2007): First official pictures
Thu, 01 Mar 2007By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 01 March 2007 02:35 Hyundai i30: the lowdown The Koreans are continuing to assault the mainstream European market - and Hyundai's new Golf rival is its latest effort. The unusually named i30 is the production interpretation of the Arnejs concept car shown at Paris last autumn. It heralds a new nomenclature for Hyundai's models, which have previously relied on straightforward names.
Lotus Exige LF1 Limited Edition – one for every Lotus F1 victory
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Lotus Exige LF1 Limited Edition – one for every Lotus F1 victory It’s a nice idea to build a limited edition car – the Lotus Exige LF1 – to celebrate very one of the 81 victories Lotus has enjoyed in F1, but it does make you wonder if Lotus has done it because they’re never likely to win again (and if they do, do they produce another LF1?). Still, Lotus has pulled out the icon JPS livery for the Lotus Exige S (from the days cigarettes could be advertised) to give the LF1 a pretty paint job of black and gold (with added red bits) including a black and gold Lotus badge up front and a contrast stitched interior with F1 logos on the seats. Also interesting is that each car will receive a plaque commemorating each individual victory, from the 1960 win at Monaco with Stirling Moss behind the wheel to the last in Australia in 2013 with Kimi Raikkonen.
Toyota iQ concept
Tue, 11 Sep 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 11 September 2007 02:53 Toyota iQ: the lowdown The Japanese scored one of the very few surprises of the Frankfurt show this year, with the titchy iQ concept car that previews Toyota’s new sub-Aygo city car. It’s one of our favourite cars at the show, bristling with intelligent new thinking and design flourishes to make small cars interesting again. And the best news is that Toyota has committed to building a production version, probably due in European showrooms by 2009.
