Warranty

Our goal is that your tire purchase exceeds your expectations. If you are not completely satisfied, let us know. See our eBay feedback for references.

That said, we do have to keep the attorneys happy...

The tires for sale are USED, unless noted as “New” or “Never Mounted” in the description. Some tires may be repaired. We do not do sidewall repairs or plugs. Every tire is visually checked for holes, punctures, or broken belts before listed for sale. Every tire is air checked at 40 psi for leaks and/or broken belts after it is purchased and before it is shipped. If the tire will not hold air or has a broken belt, we will contact you and offer a replacement tire and/or a full refund.

RETURN POLICY - Thirty Day Return Policy. If there is a problem with your purchase, inform us of your intent to return. We will send you a return shipping label. Return the tires to us. We will offer you a suitable replacement in similar condition or you may receive a refund less the cost of shipping. FAQ

When will you ship my item?

We will ship your item the same day for orders received before 12pm EST. Orders received after 12pm EST will ship the next day.

I live close to you, can I get a discount on shipping?

Due to shipping rates we have negotiated with our carrier, the listed shipping price is the best shipping price available.

Your description says the tire has been repaired with a patch, is the patch safe?

We inspect our tires to make sure patches are in locations that are not subjected to high amounts of stress that would cause the patch to fail. These locations are typically in the tread of the tire and never in the sidewall region of the tire.

Can I pick my tires up?

Definitely. There is no charge to pick up your tires. Just bring your paid receipt. We install tires as well, see above.

The tire you listed is damaged, is your vision impaired?

We inspect our tires prior to listing them for damage and/or defects. We do miss some things from time to time though. If you think a tire appears to have damage that we have not pointed out, please let us know. Don't us a bunch of idiots though, we're all very sensitive.

Where did you get the tires?

Most often, we do not know the exact history of each tire we sell.

Tire U

Load Index

The higher the tire's load index number, the greater its load carrying capacity.

89 = 1,279 pounds
88 = 1,235 pounds
87 = 1,201 pounds
86 = 1,168 pounds
85 = 1,135 pounds

A tire with a higher load index than that of the Original Equipment tire indicates an increase in load capacity. A tire with a load index equal to that of the Original Equipment tire indicates an equivalent load capacity. A tire with a lower load index than the Original Equipment tire indicates the tire does not equal the load capacity of the original.

Load

The speed rating indicates the maximum speed (miles per hour) the tire is rated under normal conditions. The ratings are as follows:

M — 81
N — 87
P — 93
Q — 100
R — 106
S — 112
T — 118
H — 130
V — 149
W — 168
Y — 186

The temperature rating indicates how well the tire handles heat (including how well the tire dissipates heat). There are three ratings:

A — best
B — intermediate
C — acceptable

The traction rating indicates how well a tire grips the road surface. This is an overall (balanced) rating for both dry and wet conditions. Tires are rated:

AA – best
A – better
B – good
C – acceptable

Treadwear Ratings loosely equate to the number of miles you should be able to expect from a tire. i.e. a tire with a treadwear rating of 400 should get you roughly 40,000 miles of use, assuming in general that you rotate your tires, have the vehicle aligned correctly, and have no suspension problems. Some manufacturers use these numbers as a marketing technique, using a rating of 540 for a tire that is just a 50,000 mile tire (treadwear rating of 500) since the standards for these numbers vary by manufacturer.

Definitions:

Slight Ups and Downs:
One block of tread is slightly higher or lower than the block of tread next to it. This condition was most likely due to suspension problems on the automobile it was removed from. This may cause the tire to produce more road noise than a perfect tire.

Wear on Outer Edge:
Tread depth on the outer tread bars is not as deep as in the middle of the tire. Most likely caused by under-inflation.

Wear in Center: Tread depth in the center tread bar is not as deep as in the outer edges of the tire. Most likely caused by over-inflation.

Bead Damage: We have tested the tire and it holds air, the bead damage does not appear to be a problem.
