This is a brand new clutch slider for the Yamaha R1(98-06) and R6(99-05). It will also fit the 06 R6 "S" but not race version. This slider mounts in replacement of the right side swingarm axle nut to protect your clutch cover if you ever lay your bike down. This auction includes the slider, the replacement swingarm axle nut, and the slider bolt.
The slider is CNC machined from a solid bar of Aircraft Quality 6061 aluminum, and the replacement Swingarm nut is machined from solid stainless steel. To install this slider, replace the swingarm pivot axle nut on the right side with the provided nut, then bolt the slider onto that nut. It should take about 5 minutes, and there is no cutting of the fairing required. This slider measures 4 inches long, and 1-3/4 inches in diameter. The torque on the slider bolt should not exceed 20-25 foot-pounds, with locktite on the threads.
