King has developed their Alecular bearing material as an alternative to the traditional tri-metal bearing construction. Alecular is an exclusive alloy of aluminum, tin, and copper on steel backing. As shown below, King HP-series bearings have a single, deep layer (.012"-.015") of Alecular material that gives King HP-series bearings superior embedability.

With one purchase, buyer will receive one (1) set of King HP rod bearings (without dowel hole) and 3/4-groove main bearings for Chevrolet 396-402-427-454-502 big block V-8 engines. P/N CR849HP+MB5147HP.

King HP-series main bearings are narrowed and rod bearings are chamfered to accommodate large radius crankshafts. These rod and main bearings are available in STANDARD size and various oversizes.
