Q: How does the RetraxPRO work? A: The patented RetraxPRO truck bed cover is constructed of heavy duty aluminum slats, which are connected by durable, yet flexible hinges. The low-profile design incorporates a front cover that is flush with the rolling cover which streamlines the overall appearance and provides a firm, dependable seal to help keep the bed dry. Simply press the button latch to open the RetraxPRO and you will immediately be impressed at the way it smoothly glides back and forth with just one hand. Sealed ball-bearing rollers mounted onto the ends of the aluminum slats allow the cover to retract or close effortlessly without the use of springs or any kind of mechanism; no moving parts to jam, freeze or fail. The compact storage canister contains a unique spiral track system that prevents the cover from rubbing on itself as it retracts and closes, eliminating wear and tear on the cover.
Q: Is there any drilling required? A: There is no drilling needed. These covers are designed to clamp to the lips of the truck rail and install in about 1 hour.
Q: Will this cover work if I have a plastic drop in bed liner? A: This cover will work with most under the rail bed liners. However, it should be noted that some modification (cutting) to the bed liner would be needed to make this cover fit properly. If you have an over the rail bed liner, major cutting would be required. This is not recommended as the cutting defeats the protective nature of the bed liner.
Q: Will this cover work if I have a Utility Track system? A: On trucks that have the Utility Track System there are separate part numbers available for sale with extra adaptor kits in the kit (see ads for more detail). The extra brackets will allow you to fasten the cover to the utility track while still allowing you access to use your track system.
