What is it? - This pair of “all in one” key + remote combos are actually made up of two parts. This first is the ‘outer shell’ and the keyblade top and the inner workings of the device. The electronics on the inside of the remote perform two important, separate functions:
1) Keyless Entry - Which allows the device to remotely lock, unlock and activate the security ‘panic’ mode of the car’s alarm system.
2) Anti-Theft - There is an electronic ‘transponder chip’ embedded in the unit, this transponder chip acts as an electronic ‘fingerprint’, and is part of your vehicle’s high security anti-theft system. Your car needs to be programmed to recognize the transponder chip’s unique fingerprint, otherwise, the car will not operate.
- These combos come to you fully assembled and ready to go! (Fresh batteries included!)
- The key blades are uncut and made of brass (the most common metal used in keys and the easiest to cut by locksmiths).
- Up to four remote and key combos may be programmed per vehicle.
- These items MUST be programmed by a dealer or qualified locksmith.
IMPORTANT NOTE - These are previously used keys that have been restored to their factory, original condition. The keys have been through a unique process to ensure they are programmable to your vehicle. A new case and key blade have been installed in each as well. Again – these keys are guaranteed programmable! Your dealer or locksmith should program them exactly as if they were brand new keys purchased from a dealer. As long as your original key looks exactly like these ones, they will work for you. Buy with confidence!
