Up for your consideration is a NOS genuine Ford backup light switch.  It fits ALL Ford models with standard or overdrive transmission from 1955 through 1958 including Thunderbird and Pickup, if equipped with backup lights.  It also fits 1951-1953 Mercury automobiles.  The pictures show it is in excellent condition.  Note also the "RBM" manufacturer's mark which was Ford's original supplier.  The part number is 1H-15520-A and the Autolite / Motorcraft number is SW-410.  This was also the switch originally supplied in the dealer-installed accessory backup light kits for all 1955-1958 models.  It is completely compatible with either 6 volt or 12 volt systems. 

Please NOTE:  This switch has the original wire connections.  The repro switches currently offered by Ford and Thunderbird parts suppliers have different connectors on them (spade / screw type clips) and you would have to modify your wiring harness to make them work.  Why mess around with that when you can buy the real thing for essentially the same money?
