This listing is for a 3.480" stroke Eagle "ESP" lightweight forged 4340 crankshaft for Chevrolet GEN I small block engines with a 2-piece rear seal. P/N 4350348057LA. This crankshaft is compatible with most aftermarket block set-ups requiring a 2-piece rear seal small block Chevrolet crankshaft.
"ESP" forged 4340 steel crankshafts feature a non-twist forging and undergo a multi-stage heat treatment process, as well as stress relieving, shot peening, and nitriding. Cranks are magnafluxed and sonic tested to insure quality. Eagle micro-polishes each journal to a 3 or better R.A. The .125" radius is used to increase strength, so chamfered or narrowed bearings must be used.
Lightening holes in every rod throw are used to further reduce weight. Approximate weight is 48-49 lbs! Like with all lightweight cranks, it is recommended to utilize a REV-limiter to help prevent crankshaft damage from extremely high RPM's. All small block Chevrolet forged 4340 cranks are internal balance. Target bobweight GUARANTEED +/- 2%. Crank specs are as follows:
