NOS 1971 and up Ford / Mercury Full-Size Car Power Window Safety Relay
Up for your consideration is an NOS 1971- 1972 Power Window Safety Relay that fits all models of full-size Ford passenger cars according to my parts book. I do not have parts books beyond 1972, so I cannot say for sure what other years beyond 1971 this may fit. This is an integral part of the power window control circuit and is designed to stop the window should an obstruction be encountered (like a child's finger). It's Ford Parts & Service part number is D1AZ-14677-C and it is
long obsolete and very hard to find. (If you look vary carefully above the part number in magic marker, you'll see the faint original part number confirming the originality of the box.) Consider purchasing it for a spare as the transactions cost of finding another NOS one if you ever needed it is probably quite high.
I have shown a couple of views of the relay so you can properly ID yours and so that you can see it is cosmetically not rusty or damaged.
