Muscle Mufflers Of USA
These are the harder to find "Slash Up" Road King Classic Style Mufflers. These mufflers will fit Harley Davidson Touring Motorcycles from 1984 to 2014.
These Mufflers are Dealer take off mufflers that are in great condition & specially modified so that they are adjustable between sound levels Stage 1 to Stage 3 by adjusting the internal tabs in the right side muffler. (i.e. can be adjusted louder or softer to your desire) See Stage levels below. To get the best sound from your bike, I highly suggest that you run a Non-Catalyst header pipe if you have a 2010 - 2014 model.
This muffler set up for a factory "balanced" exhaust system with a cross over between the front & rear cylinder & are not recommended for an after market True Dual system.
Increase Horsepower, (Up to 10 HP) Gas Milage and performance can be expected with these mufflers but most purchase these mufflers for the improved sound. Police and neighbor friendly, yet give the best sound you can get in any performance muffler.
Better sound than custom with stock looks.
Note: If you have a 2010 or newer Harley touring bike with the left side muffler cross over that goes under the bike frame, you have catalyst in your header pipe. To get the best sound and performance this catalyst should be removed. I have the non catalyst header pipes in stock. If you have emmissions testing in your state or country these header pipes will probably not pass emissions testing and are sold for racing or performance use. The purchaser is responsible for determining if they are legal in your Sate or country. Email or call for details 412-309-0729 or scroll to the bottom of this posting and click on the ask a question icon.
If you have a 2010 or newer Harley and want to keep the catalyst in your header pipe, yet get the best possible sound and performance out of your Harley, order the Stage 4 Mufflers.
These mufflers are machined with specially made tooling that can not be purchased in any store, not drilled out like others who sell mufflers on e-bay.
Here is a sound clip of my Stage 3 Mufflers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2Szu3gTrCs
The other Stages sound similiar, the Stage number is just a matter of how much volume you want. The higher the Stage the higher the volume. See table below for DB Levels of various stages.
Muffler Stages & DB Levels

Stage 1 71 82 84 - 85
Stage 2 72 84 86 - 88
Stage 3 73 85 87 - 89

These “stock” Harley Davidson Slip on mufflers were removed from a Harley Davidson Road King Classic Motorcycle at the dealers (Dealer Take Offs) and had internal baffle modifications (Professionally Internally Machined) to give an aggressive sound when accelerating and a smooth mellow sound when cruising. You get the sound and performance enhancement of the expensive after market mufflers without the big price and without changing the stock look of your bike. As a comparison, Stage 3 mufflers are a little more quiet than the "old Style" Screamin Eagle Mufflers, but they are more mellow and less harsh sounding.. These mufflers have a nice "bark" when you are on the throttle and a smooth mellow sound when cruising.
If you are successful bidder, tell me the sound you want Louder or Softer and I'll do my best to match the sound you want. See descriptions below and decide which muffler sound is right for you. These mufflers will fit touring models of Harley Davidson Motorcycles from 1984 - 2014. Picture shows style of muffler. These are the "Forward Slash" or "Slash Up" Style mufflers that are used on the Road King Classic and will fit perfectly on other Touring model Harleys. (Ultra, Road King, Road Glide, Electra Glide, etc.) It is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine if these mufflers are legal in your State/Country and buys them totally at their own risk. As a reference the stage 3 mufflers are a little less noisy as the Screamin Eagle Mufflers. Also they are less "harsh" than the Screamin Eagle mufflers. They have a "bark" when you are on the throttle and real nice mellow tone when you are cruising.
Stage 1 mufflers are noticeably louder than stock with just a mild rumble. On an Electra Glide or Ultra you can still hear the radio and passenger fine. These are a nice muffler for the rider that feels the stock pipes are just too quiet and wants people to know his bike is a Harley
Stage 2 mufflers are a little more loud and aggressive than the stage 1 mufflers. Just just slightly louder. On an Electra Glide or an Ultra you can still hear the radio but not without turning it up a little. This is a nice mildly aggressive radio for a Road King where you don’t have to hear the radio anyway, so you may as well hear the bike.
Stage 3 mufflers are fairly aggressive. On an Ultra or Electra Glide you will have to turn up the radio a little more to hear it. These are great mufflers for a Road King or For an Ultra if you think the after market Screamin Eagles or V & H are just a little too loud. These mufflers are more mellow and less harsh sounding than the after market mufflers.
Stage 4 mufflers are about as aggressive as any body would want. They have the sound of a straight through pipe. Definitely will attract attention and make no question about whether you are riding a Harley... These would be nice mufflers for “Bike Night” or for a evening or weekend of fun..
To Help you decide.. Stage 2 is the most popular choice for riders of Ultras and Electra Glides, Stage 3 is the most popular choice for Road King riders..
If you still can't decide, I can make stages "in between" those listed above, for instance Stage 2.5, 3.5, etc.
