High Performance MGB big valve head. These Big valve head were made for only 2 years and have the best flow of all MGB heads. All new valves,springs and improved valve stem seals. This head is for a 18V engines after 1971 and has the larger valves which were installed in the Big Valve MGB heads from 72 to 74.The
process starts with an initial inspection and magnifluxing for cracks,
once the head test good it is shoot penned to clean and stress relieve. A
second crack magnufluxing is performed before the hardened
exhaust seats are installed. The seats are cut with 3 angles and the
valve are cut with 2 angles. Multi-angle valve
jobs are the most common way to make a valve more aerodynamic and make
the head more efficient. A multi-angle valve job puts extra cuts on the
valve near where it mates with the cylinder head, streamlining it and
helping to move air past its surfaces with the minimum resistance and
turbulence possible. The surface is milled to a flat surface so
it will seal the head gasket.The head has a five angle valve job to
increase flow and horse power. These
larger valves and 5 angle valve will increase the heads ability to
breath resulting in more horse power. The exhaust seats are hardened seats so it can run unleaded gas. This head has improved valve stem seals
which work better than the factory type. The head has been painted the
correct color. I
will ship it ups ground.The stainless steel intake valves we install have better flow than the factory intakes. This head will give you a reliable method of increasing horse power.
