Notes: Vacuum advance
or mechanical advance distributor. (Comes with vacuum advance
lock out conversion kit).
Featuring a CNC-machined billet 6061-T6 aluminum housing
and a precision-machined centerless ground shaft with a 4-micron finish, the
distributors ride on permanently oiled bronze bushings for high-speed
durability and endurance. They're equipped with a self-contained electronic
control module, a machined reluctor, and a magnetic pickup for dependability.
An adjustable mechanical advance system allows you to easily tailor an
ignition curve to match your engine's needs, while the additional vacuum
advance can be tailored for optimal fuel economy. The adjustable vacuum
advance is factory dialed-in for 10 degrees of advance at 10 in. of vacuum,
with a lockout replacement insert for mechanical advance only. The
easy-to-adjust mechanical advance has a range of 0-28 degrees in 1 degree
increments, and a factory dialed-in high-performance ignition curve starting
at 1,200 rpm, with 24 degrees of advance at 3,000 rpm. Lastly, each
distributor is topped off with Accel's legendary 60 kV tan alkyd cap and
balanced rotor with brass inserts, for long-lasting performance. They're
compatible with most aftermarket capacitive discharge ignition systems.
