Up for grabs is another hard to find genuine 70's chopper part: MPD (Magnuson Products Development) ULTRA RARE 3-FIN FINNED PRIMARY COVER for 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 XLH (Electric Start) and the 1970 XLCH (Kick Start) Ironhead Sportsters. This is 100% an MPD cover, easily identifiable by the stamp on the inside of the cover (see photos 8,9,10). Stamp reads HD-67-70-XLH. This is one of 6 MPD covers that I have had in my collection and this is the only 3-Fin version I have ever seen (There is a 4-Fin MPD cover that I have also only ever seen 1 of that was on the Born Loser Blog back in 2010: http://bornlosermc.blogspot.com/2010/01/mpd-finned-primary-4-sale.html?zx=71844987d5733f30. ITEM CONDITION: Please look at all of the supersized pictures and use the zoom feature to make your own final judgement, I have tried to highlight the cover from all angles. Here is the condition of the cover as I see it: -Cover is in excellent shape (I would almost say this was never mounted and is NOS?). Has only a few areas of the polished aluminum that could use some buffing from being over 40 years old. There are no major defects, only minor scuffs and scratches that can be easily buffed out when the cover is re-polished. -Inside of cover shows none of the normal wear marks to the inside coating from the primary chain that would be usual for any primary cover that has actually been mounted and run on an old ironhead (another clue this was probably never run and is New Old Stock that has just been sitting on a shelf).
