AN-6 FUEL LINE ADAPTER FITTINGS FOR 1985 THRU 1992 GM TPI FUEL INJECTION SYSTEMS 

You are purchasing ONE PAIR of STEEL AN-6 To GM TPI Fuel line adapter fittings. These fittings allow the use of AN-6 (3/8") braided stainless steel fuel line or similar hoses with AN-6 fittings on 1985 thru 1992 GM TPI Fuel Injection Systems. These fittings are made of STEEL, not the easily cross-threaded or stripped aluminum, the material that most adapter fittings of this type are normally made from. Aluminum is great on Race Cars where every ounce counts, but on a street driven car steel is more durable, and easier to work with!

We offer two different types of these steel fittings. The first and more commonly required type is the "MALE" style as displayed in the first two photos. This style of adapter is designed to thread directly into the fittings at the front of the TPI Fuel Injection Manifold. The Male fittings are supplied with O-rings as shown. The O-rings we supply with these fittings, are not "generic" O-rings from the local Hardware Store, but the same exact ones, compatible with current E10 & E15 gasoline additives, that GM specifies for use, in the O.E.M application!.  The second or "FEMALE" type adapters, that are shown in the two lower photos, are designed to connect to the O.E.M. factory fuel line extensions that extend to the left(driver's side) of the engine, which in turn, connect to the fittings at the front of the intake manifold. NOTE: The FEMALE adapters DO NOT include O-rings!! 

The thread size of the large MALE style adapter is 16 mm x 1.5. The thread size of the small MALE style adapter is 14 mm x 1.5. For those who still haven't adjusted to metric sizing, the actual O.D. of the 16 mm unit measures .630 O.D. The  O.D. of the 14 mm unit measures .550 O.D.

The "FEMALE" adapters can also be used to connect braided stainless fuel line to the factory installed steel fuel lines that terminate in the engine compartment of any GM vehicle that is equipped with Fuel Injection.

 The "MALE" adapters can also be used most GM Throttle Body Injection (TBI) systems and on some GM fuel filters that utilize the same size metric type fittings. 

NOTE: Some late 1980's/early1990's Corvettes require two 16mm MALE fittings to be used in the front of the manifold, instead of the more common---one 16mm & one 14 mm MALE combination!! We can provide you with two of the same size fittings if you so indicate on the PayPal form!
