Genuine Oregon Motorcycle Parts  Since 1979

42 Amp Rectifier

For 1969 ~1977 and a few later Honda singles and twins that have a male plug on the rectifier.

If you need a rectifier for a 1973 or older CT90,  eMail me and let me know what connectors you need on it.

Proudly made in the USA

This solid-state silicon based rectifier is about 7 to 9% more efficient than the old selenium based rectifiers used in the 1970s and earlier.   Unlike other replacement rectifiers, all Oregon Motorcycle Parts rectifiers are grounded to the frame and to the green ground wire.  This additional ground is required for many Honda models.

It is aluminum-cased; epoxy filled and runs much cooler than the original part. If bolted down to the original bracket, no heat sink is required. Many of these old bikes (built before the lights on laws were passed in 1975) ran a balanced charging system and if you run them with the lights on all time, they will not keep the battery fully charged and this rectifier will do a better job of keeping the battery charged. This part is rated at 42 amps constant use while the rectifiers on most of the older bikes were only rated at 12 to 15 amps. This rectifier should outlast the original part by several times under normal operation.  This rectifier is strong enough to take a voltage spike 5 times what your bike is capable of making without taking any damage.

Replaces these old style rectifiers.

This rectifier has 5" leads and an OEM type male plug.  Oregon Motorcycle Parts uses only the factory type Japanese connectors and are designed plug right into your bike with no modification. Beware of cheap knock off parts using inferior parts and electrical connectors.

NOS means new old stock.  All Oregon Motorcycle Parts are new improved items not fake originals.
