Model T Mainbearing mold
This mold is used when pouring the Babbitt bearings in a model T Ford Block Unlike most vintage tool designs this unit will pour both the motor block and bearing caps (1 bearing at a time) Bearings are poured 1/8” undersize in diameter and will have approximately .030” excess material on each side of the thrust flanges This allows the use of any standard dimension or reasonably undersized model T crankshaft Excess materials on thrust surfaces allow for correct positioning of crankshaft to achieve necessary mag coil clearances Instructions and my telephone or e-mail support are included with mold. This is the most current revision of my original designed tooling I have been building and selling this basic, functional design since 1979 I also build molds for model A and B 4 cylinder Ford engines and 2 types of mainbearing linebore units.
