I think you could assemble it and use it also in a short lower unit What you see in the pictures is what you get the oil has been drained !!!!! from the unit. !!!!!!!!  you will have to put oil in the lower unit before you use it when I drain the oil out there was two drops of water in it and the oil was clean engine sat for a long time and seized up that's why it's being parted out
