Make your own Professional Quality 4X4 LADDER TRACTION BARS !

4 x 4 s & Monster trucks particularly those with lift kits are very hard on suspension components. The leaf springs twist under acceleration (axle wrap) and damages , yokes , universal joints , drive shafts and even pinions . Prevent wheel hop , axle wrap and broken parts! Installing ladder traction bars to your mud bogger 4x4 will eliminate the problem. Why pay big bucks to some shop for a set of ladder bars when you can make your own ladder bars for a fraction of the cost? Materials are inexpensive and readily available! You can do it yourself with these plans! High lift trucks love to eat up universal joints and spit out the drive shaft when a little extra power is applied. If you are lucky enough not to break something the rear end wraps up the springs and the truck hops rather than going forward. Most guys bolt on a set of ladder bars thinking all is good. Well the universal joints last but the truck rides like it has no suspension and no one knows why. The problem is that the springs and the ladder bars are different lengths and pivot on different arcs. The short answer is that the suspension binds up and can not move. The bars in these plans have a very unique front mounting arrangement that permits the front mount to move with the suspension to prevent the binding, Problem solved ! Universal joints are protected and the suspension still works plus the bars look tough under the truck. Many bars sold at the shops do not have this feature and cause your suspension to bind causing a poor ride or twist because the rear mounting method uses U-bolts that can not take the load your truck can dish out.     Are your bars just like the ones sold by L&L Products? NO these bars are built strong to provide improved performance and not just looks. The design uses larger tubing , eliminates the weak U-bolt mounting and provides a slider assembly on the front of the bar to eliminate suspension bind. They also will cost you much less $$$ Will these bars fit my Willys , Jeep , Toyota Chevy ( Chevrolet) Dodge Bronco Blazer Ford or Ram charger pickup ? The plans are for the most part universal in nature and provide options to alter the mounting and work with different spring locations. mud boggers lifted 4x4's , Duallies will all benefit from these bars
