Materials are inexpensive and readily available. My cost for materials was only a small fraction of what the rod shop kit cost! You can do it yourself with these plans! Assembly is easy and requires no more tools than it would to mount the suspension using one of those expensive chassis shop kits. I show you how to take a piece of steel and shape it to the correct dimensions the same way the hot rod shops do it.

All drawings are of professional quality developed using the latest in CAD (computer aided design) software. The computer permitted the proper geometry to be developed so that the suspension your build will be the same quality that professional rod shops sell.

The Mustang II independent front suspension is by far the most popular front end with the streetrod and custom car community. Many drag racers use the front end to knock a lot of weight from the front end of their cars. The Mustang II became popular not only because it was relatively easy to install but because they handle so well and provide better brakes as a bonus. This is the biggest and most complete set of plans we have produced to date.

Plans include 3D views of all parts and assemblies to make fabrication and installation easier than ever. You do not need to know how to read blueprints to use these plans. Application: Universal fit for most Street Rods , trucks, custom cars and drag cars.

Where do I buy the materials? The suspension is made of readily available steel tube and plate. The bushings used are a standard size available from most rod shops or on Ebay What years does the suspension fit? These are most often used on 1923 1928 1929 1930 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 Ford cars and pickups. They will also fit many other years of cars from the late 1930 s to the 1950 s when used with a straight axle Will the front end fit my. Willys gasser Pontiac Hotrod Plymouth Chevrolet Ratrod Dodge Fiats Anglia Streetrod , Thames Prefect Oldsmobile Buick Model T etc, ? Most of the cars manufactured around the same time as the are very similar in dimensions. The plans are universal in nature and will work for most any straight axle car or truck. Any year car or truck with a straight axle can be converted to the smooth ride of a 4 bar front end. They could be adapted to any of the following years 1923 1924 1925 1926 1927 1928 1929 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 1941 1942 Some cars such as hemi Fiats Anglia Thames Prefect etc. produced in 1944 1945 1946 1947 1948 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 1954 etc. will also work with this design.
