Details

Outer material: Basic Cordura fabric (100% polyamide, developed by BMW).

Areas at high risk of damage in a fall are reinforced with an extremely wear resistant mixture, consisting of 83% polyamide with 17 % polyester.

Light, water-repellent surface.

Breathable coating on the inside to make the fabric stronger.

Waterproof insert zips into trousers.

Membrane with Comfort-Mapping: very much like on a map of the countryside, the most suitable membrane is assigned to each part of the body to provide the most comfort and functionality. The membrane is inherently waterproof. The extent of the waterproofing capability (measured in height of water column) and the breathable capability have different weightings in the various zones. With a roughened inner surface in addition at exposed parts of the body to provide more protection against the cold. There are 3 zones:

Zone 1 "FLOW": highly breathable (e.g. top of seat).

Zone 2 "COMFORT": with warming, light fleece (e.g. knees, bottom of seat).

Zone 3 "SHIELD": maximum waterproofing capability to deal with water while riding in driving rain.

Preshaped knees further improve sit when the rider is seated on the motorcycle.
