All items are to be inspected upon receipt to verify condition and that there was no damage done to the item during the shipping process. All warranties start the day the item was delivered. Furthermore all freight items are to be inspected prior to signing delivery paperwork. If the paperwork is signed you are acknowledging that the item was delivered with no damage. If there was damage make notes on the paperwork and contact us immediately. 
 
Engines, Transmissions, Rear Axles and Transfer Cases. Engines are sold as long blocks only. Additional items are left on them are for convenience, but they are not covered under the warranty. The warranty on the above listed items is a 120 day warranty that starts the day you receive the item. If you choose to pick up your item the warranty starts on the day that you pick it up. The warranty does not cover ANY labor charges under any circumstances. In order to make a warranty claim the first step is to contact us and provide us with the VIN number of the vehicle the item is being installed on. The warranty will not be honored if the part is being installed on any vehicle other than what is stated that it will work for. Once we verify all information we will then determine if we have a replacement part in stock. If we do, we will ship the item to you at NO COST to you and have the bad part picked up. If we do not have a replacement in stock for you we will have the item picked up at NO COST to you. Once we receive the item back and verify that it is ours we will issue you a full refund for the original purchase price plus all shipping charges that you originally paid out. If you picked up the item originally it will be your responsibility to return the item back to us. We will not reimburse you for any gas or lost time to return the item to us.

Parts Sold AS-IS. Auctions that state that the part is being sold AS-IS are just that, sold AS-IS, we do not accept returns on these items. We do our best to be very descriptive of these items. If you are unsure as to whether it is the correct part for your vehicle you can contact us and we will do our best to help you. If we cannot help you, we will often suggest that you contact a dealer to verify that it will work. Please do not bid on the item if you are unsure as to whether it will fit.

Parts purchased incorrectly. If you purchase an item incorrect for your vehicle or that you decide that you do not need, and we had the item listed correctly, it is your responsibility to ship the item back to us at your cost. Once we receive the item back and verify that it is ours we will issue a refund for the purchase price of the part only, no shipping costs will be refunded. All parts returned to us that were purchased incorrectly are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Shipping

Bill Smith Auto Parts does ship internationally. We ship all non-freight items via USPS Priority Mail only. If we cannot ship the item with USPS then we can provide a quote using FedEx. If there is not a calculator in the listing please e-mail us for the shipping quote.

We also use USPS Priority Mail to ship to Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii. Bill Smith Auto Parts is happy to ship to an APO Box using USPS Priority Mail.

We ship all items within the Continental US via FedEx Ground only. 

Local pick-up is also available. Please keep in mind that the item MUST be paid for in advance unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by our staff. Please e-mail prior to coming to pick up your item.

All tracking numbers are uploaded to the eBay “Order Details” page daily. Once your item ships you will find the tracking number there.

We DO NOT allow customers to arrange their own shipping! 

Payment Policies

We accept immediate payment using PayPal or a credit card via PayPal only.

We charge tax on all orders shipped to the state of Illinois (6.5%).

Help

Core Charge. Core is an acronym for ‘Cash On Return’. A core charge is sometimes applied to rebuildable parts such as engines or alternators that can be redeemed for a portion of their original price. If the part you are purchasing has a core charge applied, it will be noted in the description.

 

Parts Grading. A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.

 

 

A Grade - The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.
B Grade - The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.
C Grade - The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage.
No Grade - A part that has not yet been graded.
