For sale is one used Tru-Course Steering Cable for OMC Stringer Stern Drives.
The OMC/BRP part numbers are 979914 and 0979914.

This OMC boat steering cable is 14 feet. It is in good working condition. The red insulation isn't cracked or dried out. The plastic drum covers have broken off of both ends. Please see the pictures.

This OMC True Course Steering Cable can be used in Stringer stern drives from 1972-1977.
