Garmin AT SL70 Transponder

SL70 Product Overview

The Small-Footprint Transponder Built Right From The Ground Up.

The Garmin AT SL70 is the smallest, most powerful transponder available, loaded with features and built for years of dependable use. The SL70's high performance Mode A/C transponder is designed for both highly accurate VFR and IFR operation. Features include: user-friendly squawk code display and selection; transponder mode selection for standby, on, altitude; built-in altitude hold; ident button and single-button VFR squawk. At only 1.3" in height, the SL70 fits seamlessly into the SL series stack and works flawlessly with other Garmin AT GPS receivers.

The SL70 is the smallest, most powerful Mode A/C transponder on the market.

It meets all requirements for use in both VFR and IFR operations. The SL70 Slimline Transponder is designed to work together with other Apollo avionics such as the GX and Slimline series GPS receivers. It provides altitude information required for VNAV and IFR operations through a serial data connection. Pressure altitude can be provided to the SL70 via a gray code blind encoder or a serial data blind encoder. This pressure altitude information is displayed on the transponder display. The SL70 is the only transponder with a built-in altitude hold feature.
