Up for SALE is a spare tire and rim from a 1976 Corvette.

 

The tire is a Firestone Steel Radial 500 size GR70-15 that appears to be have never been mounted and driven on.  The date code is VDUS FM7467 (46^th week of 1977). We are not sure why the date code is 1977 due to the fact that it is mounted on a 1976 rim and was in a 1976 Corvette.  Firestone recalled this tire due to a defect.  This tire can be used for NCRS judging for 1973 to 1977 as the date code is not judged.

This tire SHOULD NOT BE MOUNTED on a car and should be used as a spare tire for JUDGING OR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

 

The rim is a 15 X 8 inch OE Kelsey Hayes rally wheel. The date code is K 1 5 10 AZ (Kelsey Hayes 1975 October)

This is an original rim that still has the original paint.  It is in good condition with only minor surface rust.
