Mercedes-Benz Media Interface Plus expands the functions of the factory option Media Interface. Features include: Listening to Pandora Radio via an iPhone 3G/3GS or iPhone 4/4S (will not work with iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 unless you purchase the iPhone 5 or 6 cable separately ), Playing iPod/iPhone audio and video files, Phone book download, Read aloud and reply to e-mail and text messages, Streaming audio via a Bluetooth connection, Charging mobile phone. All these features are fully integrated into the COMAND or audio system. Controls are through the steering wheel buttons, audio system or the central controller. Please note that certain features are phone dependent. 

CAN ONLY BE USED ON MERCEDES-BENZ MODELS ALREADY EQUIPPED WITH THE FACTORY OPTION MEDIA INTERFACE (Option Code 518). iPod or iPhone not included. Certain features are phone dependent. Optional Video cable is required for video playback. Playback of video files only available in vehicles with NTG2.5 COMAND. Vehicle must be parked to watch videos.

The MIP supports the following iPods® and iPhones® for audio and video functionality: iPod® Gen. 3 iPod® video iPod® Gen. 4 iPod® classic iPod® Gen. 5 iPod® touch iPod® mini iPhone® Gen. 1 iPod® U2 iPhone® 3G iPod® photo iPhone® 3GS iPod® nano Gen. 1 iPhone® 4 iPod® nano Gen. 2 iPod® nano Gen. 3

 *Please ensure that the latest software version has been installed for all iPods® / iPhones®. 

Additional video cable required. Should the Audio Volume with iPod® Video function be low please go to the Video Menu in the COMAND and select Audio > Boost. The iPod® / iPhone® Video functionality is not supported by CL– and S– Class vehicles.
