It has a 3 mile scrambling range. Under normal circumstances, once a vehicle is within 150 feet of law enforcement radar, the radar has a chance of reading its speed. This is known as “punch-through”. The RMR-RS202 transmits a specially modulated laser beam that confuses the computer in the Lidar units up to the maximum range of the gun making your vehicle electronically invisible. RESULT: There is no laser punch-through. It is irrelevant. STEALTH: The RMR-RS202 is a hermetically sealed (waterproof) remote (mounts outside of vehicle) unit for those discreet drivers that want to hide a detector and/or jam unit on the windshield. EXTRA PROTECTION: These units accomodate the demand for drivers who already have a detector or detector scrambler combo unit and want the added protection (that buffer of extra time to slow down). MOUNTING. Rear window mounting is degraded by the tint and defrost lines and this is why the RMR-RS202 has been sealed to mount outside of the vehicle. This increases performance by not having to go through the glass. Ideally, mount by the license plate or rear diffuser, unobstructed and with a clear view or in front between the intake openings. SIMPLIFIED: This unit only needs a power source, no complicated wiring. Just mount with a clear view, no obstructions. Also, keep flush with surrounding body.
