With its CNC machined roller, V groove, spindle & over sized shoulder nut for maximum durability and strength, this pulley has been tested up to 15 TONS safely, with its 1.5:1 rating! With a WLL (working load limit) of 10 Tons, this snatch block is a must have for the serious off roader or recovery service. The greasable zirk fitting is perfect for keeping the pulley operating smoothly and efficiently on the trail and its CNC machined parts lubricated for years of use.
The Tuff Stuff 10 ton Heavy Duty snatchblock uses a 1" hole fitting for attaching your D shackle safely and securely with no movement.
Why use a shoulder nut, instead of a snap ring on your snatchblock? Snap rings are a known failure point on conventional snatchblocks when the load shifts against the bearings side. Snap rings can buckle under load causing the snatchblock to fail which can result in catastrophic injuries.

DO I REALLY NEED SNATCHBLOCK?
YES! A snatch block should be an essential item in any winch or recovery kit. With a V-grooved channel in the pulley, the Tuff Stuff snatch block can accept a variety of cable sizes up to 1/2" (approx 10.5mm) in diameter.
A Tuff Stuff snatch block enables your winch to retrieve loads that are normally double a winch's capacity by cutting the load in half (by spreading the weight between 2 points). A snatch block will also help to winch from varying angles to not damage your rope or cable when a straight ahead pull is not an option. To increase longevity of a winch motors life, a snatch block can be used to reduce heat build up by lowering amp draw which is the most common reason for winch failure.
