How important the strut bar for the chassis strengthening?
Your
car is being so twisty on the road? Have you had the strut bar yet? The
strut bar is the easiest way to stiffen the car chassis especially on
the suspension mounting. The reason you need to have the strut bar is
because the body chassis will easily be twisted, squeezed or bent while
driving on the road. When driven on the road, suspension mainly absorbs
the inputs from the road such as cornering force, gaps and bumps on the
road and more. But in fact, suspension doesn't absorb all those
inputs and as it is mounted to the chassis, such inputs are also
transfered to the chassis and cause the chassis be twisted and
bent. What happens when the chassis is twisted? It might cause
the bad result on cornering performance, traction and steering works as
chassis rigidity affects on movement of the suspension.
When a car makes a
cornering, inertia causes the chassis to lean toward the outer wheels
which called body roll. An outer wheel's control arm rises and an inner
wheel's control arm drops relative to the leaning chassis. Understeer
and oversteer behavior always happen while cornering fast which cause
the front wheel lose their traction and the car will go wide or the
rear tyres lose grip and the car slides out.
Strut bars are a
must for any upgrade to a wider tire & wheel combination. Addition
of suspension upgrades such as sports springs, shocks and low-profile
tires adds additional stress to the chassis which result in chassis
flex. Strut bars not only reinforce the sub frame and improve chassis
stiffness but also make steering quicker and more responsive.
To solve the
chassis being twisted, body roll problem; soft the chassis flex
problem; prevent the understeer or oversteer behavior and
improve the car stability and handling, the Ultra Racing's chassis

VARIOUS TYPE OF ULTRA RACING STRUT BAR
FRONT STRUT BARS
Simple structure mounted at the front chassis- tie the two opposing strut towers together as a single solid unit - as showed in the pictures. A front strut bar is designed to reduce this strut tower flex during hard cornering by tying two parallel strut towers together. This transmits the load of each strut tower during cornering which ties the two towers together and reduces chasis flex. When taking a turn a car's strut tower normally flex, resulting body flex and losing some traction. As a strut tower bar is designed to keep your car's strut tower from flexing, they distribute the pressure apllied to one strut tower when taking a turn to both towers instead of just one. This keeps the wheels in position. Keeping the wheels in position helps keep the tires in the desired position on the road and this will help to improve traction on the turns. The front strut bar can be used to prevent the oversteer behavior which always happen to the RWD cars. REAR STRUT BAR & REAR UPPER BAR
Rear strut bar mounted at the boot- rear part of the car chassis as showed in the pictures. A rear strut tower bar is designed to work like the front bar by tying the two rear strut to work together, increasing the ovrall chassis stiffness. Rear strut bars minimize understeer behavior due to less chassis flex and improves stability during corner braking. Rear upper bar is designed for the car with high CG (Centre of Gravity) and high roof such as MPV's, mini MPV's, SUV's and Hatch Backs. The high roof or high CG cars have rear upper chassis weaker due to their wide opening rear door. That's why the rear upper bar is invented to correct the shortcoming of the car's swaying rear upper chassis. SIDE FENDER BAR
Simple structure mounted at the left and right side of the car wheel arch or fender as show in the pictures. The UR fender bars utilised two mounting points and three mounting points depend on the type of car design, one on the hinge of the front door and the others on the overhang structure itself. The fender bars aimed to strengthen the front overhang on the both side of the car. The UR 3 points or 2 points fender bar is designed to strengthen the both side area of the car and help to maintain the suspension in position from all kind of vertical loads. Beside that, it can also improve the car handling and stability while cornering; provide better braking and stopping performance; stiffen the front car chassis, and reduce the noise, vibration and harshness of the car.
ANTI-ROLL BAR / SWAY BAR
Anti Roll Bars (also known as anti-sway bars, sway bars or lower tie bars) affect the handling of the car on the lower end of the suspension. Sway bars tie the lower suspension components together across the front or back, and affect a car's over steer and under steer. Sway bars will keep your car flat in turns instead of leaning over to one side. They distribute energy from the side of the car with all the force from the turn on it to the other side of the car, bringing the whole car down flat instead of leaning to one side. Of course the car will still lean some, but not as much. Sway bars provide better cornering especially at high speeds and work very well in conjunction with strut tower bars. However, they can have an adverse affect in off-road situations by leaving one tire completely off the ground
LOWER ARM BAR
Simple structure connecting the lower arm mount at lower mounting points (2points, 4 points, 6points and 8 points) of car chassis. The Ultra Racing Lower Arm Bar is designed to reduce the flex of the vehicle chassis where it is connected by the Lower wishbone of the suspension system, thus to lessen the distortion of the vehicle lower suspension when it is under load, especially during hard cornering. It also good for reducing the alignment flexing and improve the chassis rigidity.
ROOM BAR / SIDE FLOOR BAR
It is the bar linking both the B-Pillars within the passenger compartment. The effect of room bar is particularly obvious for a four-door sedan. This is because four-door sedan has a longer body than the hatch-back or coupe, the chassis is by nature weaker than the later two
Material Specification and Design
Every materials
used are carefully selected to ensure the best performance and safety.
The brackets are made of 4mm to 5mm steel plates, while the hollow
steel tubes and oval tubes are of 1.2mm to 1.6mm thickness. These

Why we use
Steel instead of Aluminum?
First, steel is
stronger than aluminum for the same size and thickness. In order for
aluminum alloys to be at least the same strength as steel, it has to be
at least double the thickness (steel 4mm = aluminum 8mm). When that
happens, weight saving is not so apparent anymore. Of course there are
also exotic materials and alloys that can match the strengths of steel,
but the cost are astronomically high and therefore not very cost
effective to bring into mass production.
Beware of Imitations
Due
to the success of Ultra Racing products, unavoidably there are
imitations floating in the market. The management found out that there
are more than 10 such companies in the market imitating Ultra Racing
bars, namely,Utx, CTecx, 3Mxx, Advxx, Susxx, D2xx etc. These imitators besides using similar name or logo, had even copied our designs and colour – white!
Some
of these unscrupulous merchants even copied Ultra Racing's product
images from our website and pasted these images onto their own
advertisement and webpage. Some have told their customers that their
bad quality imitations are manufactured by Ultra Racing, mainly to
deceive and thus gain the confidence of their customers. After all,
their intention is to maximize profit from their bad quality and high
risk products.
As such, we would like to inform the public that Ultra Racing has never OEM for any company in the country.
